Linguistic Landscapes

These posters were developed for a project that explored the dominance of the English Language in the public sphere. I developed a series of fictitious photographs that imagined a public with a more equitable distribution of languages in spaces that have the potential to be occupied by non-English speaking communities.

Using photography and Photoshop, I captured photos from a cultural center, an educational institution, and public space, and digitally altered them to incorporate underrepresented, but relevant languages.
